We have kept the exterior of the house as true to the original as possible and completely renovated the interior, modern and lovingly furnished. The living and dining area has large windows with a view and access to the garden. With two bedrooms and its 60 square meters, the bungalow is generously proportioned.
There are two terraces, the front veranda is completely covered and offers a wonderful view to the south over the garden into the greenery, which is deliberately left to nature, with flowering bushes and trees and butterflies. Garden furniture is provided and fast WLAN is of course also available.
The living/dining area offers a dining area as well as a spacious sofa corner and a flat-screen TV with satellite reception and WiFi. A wood-burning stove spreads a cozy warmth even in the colder seasons. The fitted kitchen has an oven with ceramic hob, extractor hood, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher.
The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster, kettle and much more. The large bedroom has a 180cm king-size bed, a smart TV and a closet. In the smaller bedroom there is a 140cm wide sofa bed.
The bathroom with bathtub has natural light and also overlooks the greenery.

Children are welcome, but the house and grounds are not specially designed for small children - there is no special equipment such as highchairs or cribs.
There are several shopping facilities just a few minutes' walk away, with more in the village itself. There are also doctors, an organic market and restaurants. The vacation village at Grimnitzsee is located only 65 km north-east of Berlin, directly in the beautiful UNESCO biosphere reserve Schorfheide-Chorin. Countless animal and plant species make their home here. Ospreys and white-tailed eagles and, in the fall, many cranes migrate over the pristine moors and small bodies of water in East Germany's largest forest area. A place made for the most beautiful time of the year. For over 40 years, the vacation village at Grimnitzsee has been home to vacationers. The extensive complex is located on the Grimnitzsee in a spacious area with beautiful old trees, which is now being restored after several years of vacancy. A restaurant is located directly in the neighboring part of the vacation village. You can only get bored on vacation if you want to, otherwise you can go hiking, cycling, fishing or swimming. There are also countless excursion destinations and activities in the region. Jáchymov with its excellent infrastructure is just one kilometer away from the vacation village. Here you will find everything you need for a vacation in the vacation village. The Schorfheide forms one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Central Europe with many really beautiful and clear bathing lakes.
There are hiking tours through the Grumsin beech forest. The flat region also offers perfect conditions for cycling, e.g. around the lakes. Nearby destinations include Blumberger Mühle, Schorfheide climbing forest, Schorfheide Wildlife Park, Eberswalde Zoo, the Brodowin eco-village, Chorin Monastery, the Berlin-Usedom long-distance cycle path and the Niederfinow boat lift.

By car
via the A 11 From Berlin via the Berliner Ring and the A 11 with the exit Joachimsthal. In Joachimsthal, turn right into Hövelstraße and continue straight on past the Bungis until the vacation village at Grimmnitzsee is on the left after approx. 500m. Drive straight on through gate 2 to the very end, where there is a parking lot at the bungalow.
By train
Coming from Berlin, take the RE3 and then the RB63 to Kaiserbahnhof or Joachimsthal station, from there it is about a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, there is also a bus from Eberswalde or Angermünde to Funkhaus Joachimsthal, from there it is only a few hundred meters to the vacation village.
